Machete & Quill Press is a Sacramento, California-based independent publisher of horror and fantasy fiction, currently showcasing the works of author Ryan Hoyt. Ryan has a number of upcoming appearance, so make sure to check out the events page.
Ryan Hoyt is from northern California. His fantasy series The Pierced Shadow Archive concluded in 2024. The horror line under the banner A Machete & Quill Horror includes the books Raventree Hollow, We Are Not Alone in the Dark, and Ditch of the Damned & Other Tales. A More Ancient Evil and The Exorcism of Raventree Hollow will be released in late 2025.
Machete & Quill Press has also lined up a new mystery series by author RH Craig. The Chance Golden Hollywood Mysteries will begin publication in 2026. More details here.
